About The Position

Homecare Therapy is seeking licensed Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to provide in-home therapy throughout Manhattan. This flexible per diem opportunity is ideal for PTAs interested in building a caseload within their preferred locations. The role involves providing treatment under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist, helping patients improve strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence. It also includes educating patients and caregivers, completing documentation, and communicating patient progress.

Requirements

• Current New York State PTA license.
• Physical Therapist Assistant degree from an accredited program.
• Professional liability insurance.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between patients.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• A business entity is required for independent contractor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist.
• Follow established plans of care.
• Help patients improve strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to the supervising therapist.
