About The Position
Homecare Brooklyn Territory - Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) @Home Therapy is seeking licensed Physical Therapist Assistants to provide in-home therapy throughout Brooklyn. This flexible per diem opportunity is ideal for PTAs interested in building a caseload within their preferred locations. This is a per diem independent contractor position with flexible scheduling, allowing you to choose cases based on location and availability. You will be working with an adult and geriatric patient population in a home-based setting.
Requirements
- Current New York State PTA license.
- Physical Therapist Assistant degree from an accredited program.
- Professional liability insurance.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between patients.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- A business entity is required for independent contractor engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide treatment under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist.
- Follow established plans of care.
- Help patients improve strength, balance, mobility, and functional independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety.
- Complete documentation accurately and on time.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the supervising therapist.
