About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a dynamic rehabilitation team in Lithonia, GA. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall functional independence. This is a 14-week contract assignment offering an excellent opportunity to gain diverse clinical experience in a supportive and patient-focused environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current PTA licensure in the state of Georgia (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment responses accurately
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and recovery techniques
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and facility policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support patients in regaining independence in daily living activities
