About The Position

Human Touch Home Health is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team serving patients throughout Prince George's County and Montgomery County, Maryland. This PRN opportunity offers flexibility, professional independence, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day. As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work alongside a supervising Physical Therapist to help patients regain strength, improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore independence in the comfort of their own homes. The role emphasizes meaningful one-on-one care, distinct from crowded clinics or rushed appointments.

Requirements

Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License Required
Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
Strong Communication and Documentation Skills

Nice To Haves

Home Health Experience Preferred but Not Required
OASIS knowledge is a plus
Experience with WellSky Home Health is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist
Implement individualized treatment plans
Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, balance improvement, and fall prevention
Assist patients in improving strength, endurance, coordination, and functional mobility
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation using WellSky
