About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for its outpatient orthopedic center on Hinson Farm Road in Alexandria, Virginia. The role is part of a clinical team providing personalized care to patients of all ages and abilities to help restore function and support their return to sports, work, and everyday activities. The PTA provides patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as required by the State Practice Act, and implements physical therapy services with minimal supervision in accordance with professional principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday and pays $30.00–$36.00 per hour, depending on experience. The posting offers a $12,000 bonus and a student loan repayment program. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license, or license in process.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by the State Practice Act.
Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, following physical therapy principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
