About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing healthcare team in Tampa, FL. This position will provide hands-on rehabilitation services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, with a focus on helping patients improve mobility, function, and overall recovery.

Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current Florida PTA license/certification required.
Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, human anatomy, and rehabilitation principles.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Nice To Haves

Previous personal injury experience.
Experience treating patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
Background in neurological or outpatient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
Assist patients with individualized exercise programs and monitor their response to treatment.
Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
Maintain patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout treatment sessions.
Educate patients and families on home exercises, recovery strategies, and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Communicate effectively with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress.
Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a clean, safe treatment environment.
