About The Position
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Civita Care Center- West River Milford, CT. This position offers a steady schedule and the opportunity to work closely with residents on functional recovery and mobility. You'll partner with a Physical Therapist to carry out rehab programs that help residents improve movement, reduce discomfort, and safely return to daily activities.
Requirements
- Current PTA license
- Graduate of a PTA program
- Reliable communication and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead residents through prescribed therapy routines, including strengthening and mobility exercises
- Assist with walking programs, transfers, and positioning for safety and comfort
- Use therapeutic equipment and modalities as directed
- Document visits clearly and report patient status changes
- Reinforce care plans and encourage participation in therapy
