About The Position

Vasona Creek Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their dynamic short-term rehabilitation team. This role involves helping patients regain strength, mobility, confidence, and independence following various medical conditions and procedures. The position offers a supportive, collaborative environment with a new, state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym, advanced treatment equipment, specialty programs, and a strong culture of mentorship. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans and provide skilled therapeutic interventions.

Requirements

Current and active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered care
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Passion for helping patients achieve functional recovery and greater independence

Responsibilities

Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
Provide skilled therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence
Assist patients with gait training, therapeutic exercises, transfers, and functional activities
Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising PT
Provide education and encouragement to patients and caregivers
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Collaborate with the rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care teams
Promote patient safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life
