About The Position
Yorkview Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide rehabilitation services in our skilled nursing facility in York, PA. The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in assessing residents, developing treatment programs, and delivering physical therapy services designed to improve mobility, function, and independence.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to resident-centered care and professional excellence
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services within the PTA scope of practice in accordance with established standards and department procedures
- Assist the Physical Therapist with resident evaluations as directed
- Assist the Physical Therapist with developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence
- Document treatment provided and resident progress accurately and timely
- Communicate resident progress and changes with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain compliance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
