About The Position

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you’ll be part of a collaborative and compassionate clinical environment that values personalized care and professional growth. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for Maryland-licensed physical therapist assistants (LPTA). NovaCare Pikesville offers the opportunity to treat a diverse patient population from teens to older adults and work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive, mentorship-driven setting. You will gain exposure to a wide range of specialties, including Orthopedics, Neuro & vestibular rehabilitation, Concussion management, Sports medicine, ReVital cancer rehabilitation, Dry needling, and Fall prevention programs.

Requirements

• Maryland Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA).
• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE.
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process).
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
