About The Position

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Surrounding Areas We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team, providing essential rehabilitative services to patients in surrounding areas. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a PTA
  • Proven experience working with diverse patient populations preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business practices, policies and procedures, professional journals, technical guidelines, and governmental regulations.
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must be able to provide guidance and direction accurately and clearly to Company staff and employees.
  • Proactively identify Company risks and institute policies and/or procedures to ensure compliance using related law and industry data,
  • Identify opportunities and take action to build strategic relationships between one's area and other areas, teams, departments, units, or organizations to help achieve business goals.
  • Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; have the ability to compare data from different sources to draw conclusions; utilize effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.
  • Identify and drive Company and cultural changes needed to adapt strategically to changing market demands, technology, and internal initiatives; catalyzing new approaches to improve results by transforming Company culture, systems, or products/services.
  • Maintain current state PTA license certification.
  • Graduate of a school with PTA curriculum approved by CAPTE or its successor organizations or meet any other Home Health Care Conditions of Participation PTA 42 requirements as outlined in 42 CFR 418.114(b)(8)- 418.114(b)(8) (ii) (A) (4).
  • Successfully passed a national PTA examination recognized by the APTA.
  • Minimum of one year of PTA experience in a health care setting, home health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising therapist
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and confidentiality standards
