About The Position
Human Touch Home Health is seeking compassionate and dependable Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for Part-Time or PRN home health opportunities throughout Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, and nearby communities. This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to choose the areas you want to cover and set your availability. You will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist, providing treatments in patients' homes to help them improve strength, endurance, and functional mobility, ultimately enabling them to stay independent.
Requirements
- Active Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant License Required
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during home visits while following the PT's established plan of care
Nice To Haves
- Home Health Experience Preferred, but Not Required
- WellSky Experience is a Plus
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments in patients' homes
- Carry out established plans of care
- Provide therapeutic exercise, gait, balance, transfer, and mobility training
- Help patients improve strength, endurance, and functional mobility
- Reinforce home exercise and fall-prevention programs
- Educate patients and caregivers
- Monitor progress and report changes to the supervising PT
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Complete accurate and timely documentation using WellSky
