About The Position

Mercyhealth is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team. This role involves integrating subjective and objective data to follow an established treatment plan, utilizing exercise, physical agents, and manual techniques to address deficits. The assistant will maintain thorough records of services provided with appropriate coding and billing, and communicate with other disciplines and referring providers to enhance outcomes. They will also perform thorough and timely electronic documentation, participate actively in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement processes, and assist in the orientation, training, and mentoring of new partners. The role also includes participating in cost-saving initiatives within the department and maintaining a high standard of patient care with effective communication between physical therapists, assistants, and the physician group. Additionally, the assistant may plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistants
Licensed as a physical therapist assistant in WI, IL or both if required
CPR/BLS required within 90 days of hire
Passing the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.

Responsibilities
