Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Active Texas PTA License
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Solid therapy practice standards
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Current BLS CPR (healthcare provider)
  • DME knowledge
  • Reliable vehicle with current auto liability insurance

Nice To Haves

  • Home health preferred
  • EMR HomeCare HomeBase a plus

Responsibilities

  • Performs services planned, delegated and supervised by the PT
  • Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to participate in teaching the patient and family
  • Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner
  • Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease
  • Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients
  • Meets mandatory continuing education requirements; participates in in service programs
  • Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency
  • Proficient and comfortable using technology to communicate and perform essential job functions.
