Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy
Licensure: Active Texas PTA License + valid Texas Driver’s License
Skills: Solid therapy practice standards, great interpersonal skills, current BLS CPR (healthcare provider), DME knowledge
Transportation: Reliable vehicle with current auto liability insurance

Nice To Haves

Home health experience preferred
EMR HomeCare HomeBase a plus

Responsibilities

Performs services planned, delegated and supervised by the PT
Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to participate in teaching the patient and family
Completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner
Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in coordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease
Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to care for patients
Meets mandatory continuing education requirements; participates in in service programs
Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency
Proficient and comfortable using technology to communicate and perform essential job functions.
