About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Glen Burnie. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for passionate individuals to help residents regain strength, mobility, and independence in a supportive skilled nursing and post-acute care environment. The role involves working with both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents within a collaborative interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Requirements
- Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents in improving mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional independence
- Observe resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety recommendations
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and physicians to support quality resident outcomes
