About The Position
Seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) for a 13-week contract to provide rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA assists in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, functional independence, and overall quality of life for residents recovering from injury, illness, or surgery. The ideal candidate is compassionate, motivated, and committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care in a skilled nursing environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
- Current PTA license required
- BLS certification required or preferred per facility requirements
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise and mobility training techniques
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care
Nice To Haves
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred
