About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation department within a skilled nursing facility. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with residents recovering from surgery, illness, injury, and mobility decline while supporting functional improvement and independence.
Requirements
- Active PTA license required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with strengthening exercises, gait training, transfer training, and balance activities
- Monitor resident response during treatment sessions and communicate updates to the supervising PT
- Encourage resident participation and support achievement of individualized therapy goals
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
