About The Position
Dallas Healthcare Consultants is recruiting a Physical Therapist Assistant for a pediatric home health provider serving Cameron County, Texas, from La Feria to Brownsville. A full caseload is available, with pediatric visits in patients’ homes throughout the assigned territory. The position offers either a 1099 contract option at $12.50 per unit or salaried employment, with salaried compensation discussed during the interview process. Biweekly direct deposit is provided, and documentation is completed online through Healthtrust.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Active Texas Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Ability to travel between patient homes throughout the assigned territory.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children, caregivers, and the supervising Physical Therapist.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric or home health experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement interventions established in each patient’s plan of care.
- Help children improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and everyday function.
- Educate caregivers on prescribed home activities and safe techniques.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Complete accurate, timely documentation using Healthtrust.
- Coordinate visits with families and manage the assigned travel schedule.
