About The Position

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide home-based physical therapy services. The role supports patients in improving mobility, function, and independence by following treatment plans established by a Physical Therapist. The position offers flexible PRN scheduling, pay of up to $45 per point, and mileage reimbursement. Full-time opportunities are also available. Requirements

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record, or have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines.
