About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians while helping residents restore mobility, improve strength, and achieve greater independence in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.
Requirements
- Active New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents in improving strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and functional performance
- Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to maximize resident outcomes
- Monitor progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate residents and caregivers on mobility techniques, exercise programs, and safety strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
