About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Patuxent River. In this role, the PTA will work alongside experienced clinicians to help residents improve mobility, restore function, and achieve their highest level of independence in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.
Requirements
- Active Maryland Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation is preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Carry out individualized treatment plans established by a licensed Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, balance, gait, endurance, and mobility
- Track resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate residents and caregivers on safe mobility techniques, home exercises, and fall prevention
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation that meets facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
