Requirements

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Arizona Physical Therapist Assistant license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain
  • Strong understanding of outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation principles
  • Experience implementing therapeutic exercise and functional treatment programs
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and infection prevention standards
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Strong clinical observation, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to safely assist patients with mobility, transfers, and therapeutic activities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical demands of patient care
  • Active Arizona PTA license (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Passing NPTE scores.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, and rehabilitation activities
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
  • Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Build positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, and fellow team members
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient treatment environment
  • Assist with training and mentoring Physical Therapy Technicians
  • Follow OSHA, infection control, HIPAA, and organizational policies at all times
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture focused on exceptional patient outcomes
