Moore County Hospital District (MCHD) is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our award-winning team. The PTA is responsible for implementing treatment plans as documented by a licensed physical therapist, ensuring compliance with the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy practice act, regulatory agencies, payer guidelines, and MCHD policies. This role involves providing optimal patient care in a safe and appropriate manner, accurate documentation, and collaborative interdisciplinary care. Secondary responsibilities include assisting with department functions such as quality control, performance improvement, staff development, and compliance processes. The PTA will be assigned to varied work schedules and locations, potentially including hospital-based programs (outpatient wound, inpatient acute, outpatient nursing home, extended care), outpatient clinic programs (adult and pediatric musculoskeletal and neurological), home health, and school-based contract services. Flexibility and competency development in all areas within the scope of services are expected. Patient care must be age-appropriate and diagnostic appropriate, including supervision of non-skilled personnel and communication with external care providers. Accurate and timely documentation for billing purposes is also a key responsibility.
