Moore County Hospital District (MCHD) is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their award-winning team. The PTA is responsible for implementing treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist (PT). This role requires adherence to the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy practice act, regulatory agencies, payer guidelines, and MCHD policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include providing optimal patient care safely and appropriately, accurate documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and cooperative departmental function. The PTA may also assist with quality control, performance improvement, staff development, compliance, program development, and supporting other staff members. Assignments can be varied, including hospital-based programs (outpatient wound, inpatient acute, outpatient nursing home, extended care), outpatient clinics (adult and pediatric musculoskeletal and neurological), home health, and school-based contract services, requiring flexibility and competency development across different areas. Patient care must be age-appropriate and diagnostic-appropriate, involving collaboration with other providers and patient education. The PTA is also responsible for supervising non-skilled personnel and documenting services accurately for billing purposes, ensuring documentation is complete, timely, concise, and accurate.
