About The Position

Peak Performance Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their team in Okemos. This role focuses on building meaningful patient relationships and providing individualized care in an outpatient setting. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting patients with various rehabilitation needs, including orthopedic rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, balance and fall prevention, and strengthening. The position emphasizes clinical growth, support from experienced PTs, and a collaborative team environment. Requirements

  • Current Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant license.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Passion for patient-centered care and helping others improve their quality of life.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest or experience in outpatient orthopedics and movement-based rehabilitation.
  • Team-oriented mindset and commitment to professional growth.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in orthopedics, post-surgical rehabilitation, balance training, and strength-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one outpatient physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients with orthopedic rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, balance and fall prevention, strengthening, and functional movement.
  • Educate, encourage, and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to create an exceptional patient experience.
  • Participate in community wellness initiatives and outreach opportunities as interested.
