About The Position

AMG Physical Rehabilitation Hospital - Covington is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for all shifts. The position administers physical therapy treatment interventions guided by a plan of care established by a Physical Therapist and as ordered by a Physician. The PTA participates with a Physical Therapist in developing treatment programs for therapy patients. The position is flexible with variable day shifts.

Requirements

• Maintain a current Louisiana Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of observation levels as indicated by patient behavior and risk of injury to the patient and/or others.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatment interventions according to a plan of care established by a Physical Therapist and as ordered by a Physician.
• Participate with a Physical Therapist in developing treatment programs for therapy patients.
• Communicate changes in patient behavior or safety to the charge nurse.
