Requirements

Current and valid California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Passion for helping residents achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

Deliver Skilled Therapy Services: Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional performance.
Monitor and Document Progress: Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress toward established goals. Communicate observations and clinical updates to the supervising therapist and interdisciplinary team.
Educate Residents and Families: Provide instruction on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and home programs to support continued success beyond therapy sessions.
Collaborate with the Care Team: Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings. Contribute valuable insights to help optimize resident outcomes and discharge planning.
Promote Quality Care: Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and documentation requirements. Support a safe, positive, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment.
