About The Position

NovaCare Rehabilitation is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant for its outpatient orthopedic practice in Annapolis, Maryland. The role is part of the Select Sports network and involves supporting patients of all ages as they return to their activities. The center offers specialties including ACL rehabilitation, concussion care, dry needling, fall prevention, general orthopedics, lymphedema, oncology rehabilitation through ReVital, sports medicine, temporomandibular disorder, and vestibular rehabilitation. The PTA works under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist and implements physical therapy services in accordance with the State Practice Act, professional principles and practices, and Select Medical policies and procedures. The clinic offers mentorship and orientation, including a structured mentorship program for new graduates. Once established, PTAs typically treat 11–12 patients per day. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with two evenings scheduled until 7:30 PM. The final patient is scheduled one hour before the shift ends. Compensation is $30.00–$38.00 per hour, with a $3,000 bonus and indefinite student loan help.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by CAPTE.
Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license, or license in process.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, as mandated by the State Practice Act.
Implement high-quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities with minimal supervision, in accordance with physical therapy principles and practices and Select Medical policies and procedures.
Maintain positive interactions with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
