Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Part Time
About The Position
Absolute Rehabilitation and Consulting is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide coverage on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Newark, Ohio. There may be an opportunity for full-time work with travel to Altercare Somerset and Altercare Newark North. The company provides patient-centered rehabilitation services and emphasizes teamwork, compassion, and excellence. The PTA implements treatment plans developed by a Physical Therapist, guides patients through therapeutic exercises, modalities, and activities, and monitors and documents patient progress. The role also involves reporting significant changes to the supervising Physical Therapist and encouraging patients as they work toward their rehabilitation goals in a safe, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, and function.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, modalities, and activities to assist in recovery.
- Monitor and document patient progress and report significant changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Encourage and motivate patients to meet rehabilitation goals while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
