About The Position

UF Health Rehabilitation Hospital - North, affiliated with Select Medical, is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. The hospital provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant helps implement therapy plans of care and directs supportive personnel for assigned patients. The role includes communicating with the supervising therapist about patient schedules and needs for assessment, reassessment, treatment-plan modifications, and other interventions requiring therapist direction. The assistant also participates in education for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, and performs other patient-care duties within the scope of practice.

Requirements

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or eligibility for licensure.
Certified BLS, or completion of BLS certification within the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities
