The physical therapist assistant (PTA) is involved in the delivery of physical therapy services for Rawlins County Health Center. Under the direction of a physical therapist, the PTA provides physical therapy interventions according to the plan of care as outlined in accordance with all therapeutic interventions described in the Kansas Physical Therapy Practice Act. Completes other tasks as outlined by the manager to assist in the functioning of the department. The employee is held accountable for policies and procedures of the department and organization. Additionally, the position serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, Vision and Behavior Standards of Rawlins County Health Center. The employee reports directly to the Rehab Services Director. The employee works collaboratively with all departments as needed to assist in the achievement of organizational objectives. Must be certified by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts as a physical therapist assistant.
