Requirements

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Florida
Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Experience in senior living, skilled nursing, or outpatient setting preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist
Assist in implementing individualized care plans
Monitor and document patient progress
Communicate effectively with the therapy team and interdisciplinary staff
Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
Work closely with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
