About The Position

This is an open-pooled position. Applicants' education/experience will be considered and the position may be filled at a lower or higher level, as appropriate. The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment to patients relative to age, culture and condition in assigned clinical area. They document patient treatment and progress, appropriately in the medical record, ensuring documentation meets peer review requirements. They communicate pertinent patient information with the supervising physical therapist, patient, family members, physicians, team members, and other disciplines. The role also involves participating in rounds, clinics, and case conferences as assigned, meeting required competencies for assigned areas, delegating duties and monitoring service delivery appropriately to Rehabilitation Aides, and supervising physical therapy assistant students as requested. Adherence to internal controls and reporting structure is also required.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensed or eligible for license in the State of Texas.
  • No experience required (for PTA level)
  • 5 years related experience (for Senior PTA level)

Nice To Haves

  • One year experience preferred (for supervising students)

  • Participates and assist with data gathering for quality assurance activities as requested.
