About The Position
Support patients working toward improved strength, mobility, and independence under a Physical Therapist’s direction.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
- Current California PTA license, or eligibility to obtain licensure before starting.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to safe, patient-centered rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver treatment interventions within the established physical therapy plan of care.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercise, gait, balance, and functional mobility activities.
- Observe treatment responses and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Reinforce safe movement techniques and patient and caregiver education.
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Follow applicable supervision requirements and professional scope of practice.
