About The Position
Join our dynamic team at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). As a PTA, you will play a crucial role in the provision of physical therapy services to our patients, under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. Weekly pay up to $40 an hour.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
- CEU's per state licensure requirements
- Current licensure by the applicable state agency where required
- Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
- Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
- Requires intense attention and concentration
- Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
- Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language

- Prior clinical experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities
- Assist in the provision, collection of assessment data, and direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Participate in clinical program development and implementation
- Consult with and train patients, residents, and caregivers
- Monitor efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with supervisor
- Document activities according to the company's clinical documentation system on a timely basis
- Demonstrate ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field
