About The Position
RVNAhealth is seeking a Full time licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient Therapy Center located in Ridgefield, CT. This role focuses on orthopedic care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The Ridgefield Therapy Center offers a modern outpatient setting with a full gym, private treatment rooms, and specialized programs including orthopedic rehab, balance and fall prevention, and Parkinson's therapy.
Requirements
- Licensed PTA in Connecticut (required)
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organized, patient-focused, and detail-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Outpatient and/or orthopedic experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on therapy treatments following plans of care established by the Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercise, gait training, mobility, and strengthening
- Apply modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention
- Document visits accurately in the EMR and maintain compliance with clinical standards
