About The Position

Join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic team at NovaCare Rehabilitation in Hunt Valley, Maryland, where we’re committed to helping patients of all ages regain strength, mobility, and confidence. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you’ll join a collaborative, compassionate clinical environment that values personalized care and professional growth. We welcome new graduate physical therapist assistants (LPTA). Previous outpatient experience is highly preferred. Our clinicians average 10-12 patients in an eight-hour day. Treat a diverse patient population from teens to older adults. Work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive, mentorship-driven setting. Gain exposure to a wide range of specialties, including: Deconditioning, General Orthopedics, Neurology, ReVital cancer rehabilitation, Sports medicine, Temporomandibular joint (TMJ), Vestibular.

Requirements

• Maryland-licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA).
• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• Previous outpatient experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.
