About The Position
We're seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Bowie, MD. This opportunity is ideal for a clinician who enjoys helping residents regain mobility, improve strength, and maximize independence in a skilled nursing and post-acute care environment.
Requirements
- Active Maryland PTA license required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with gait training, balance, strength, mobility, and functional activities
- Monitor progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safety techniques
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
