Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant
About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant implements the plan of care established by the registered physical therapist (RPT) and physician in a professional and competent manner, upholding high-quality care. The role is based at Mennowood Retirement Community in Newport News, Virginia, a nonprofit continuing-care community offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care. The therapy team works collaboratively in a wellness-focused environment providing holistic, patient-centered care. The position is full-time with a flexible weekday schedule and an hourly salary range of $30.00 to $40.00. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered to direct applicants who qualify. Functional Pathways offers access to evidence-based programs across the continuum of care and specialty-program training through CORE4+ and Wellness offerings. Company-paid MedBridge CEUs are available to full-time and part-time team members.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Certification and licensure as required by state and national board associations.
- Active state license.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current working knowledge of Functional Pathways policies and procedures and clinical programs, with application skills relevant to therapy disciplines.
- Completion of all required screenings, certifications, and licensure; screening requirements may vary by location.
