About The Position

As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance to be considered. A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. The Physical Security Support Specialist will assist with ensuring Treasury collateral and Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facilities (SCIF) spaces operate in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures regarding access control and proper day-to-day handling of classified sensitive material in support of the Department of the Treasury.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience providing Physical Security support
  • Possess strong customer service and expertise of personnel security administration support, to include but not limited to, applicable manuals, regulations, policies, and instructions; OPM clearance procedures
  • Must have knowledge and experience of regulations governing Federal personnel and physical security programs, to include 5 CFR 731, 5 CFR 732, E.O. 12968, E.O. 13467, E.O. 13764, 32 CFR 2001, 32 CFR 2003, and ICD/ICS 700 Series National Policy
  • Must have an active TS/SCI Clearance
  • OPM databases: CVS, PIPS, NP2
  • OPM Essentials of Suitability Adjudication
  • Possess integrated security services skill sets in the following areas: SSO Operations; Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) operations, SCI Personnel Security, SCI Information Security, SCI Physical Security, SCI TEMPEST, SCI Industrial Security
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
  • Must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

  • Bachelor’s Degree desired
  • Personnel Security Adjudication certifications (ex: DoD, ODNI)
  • Due Process Adjudication certifications (ex: DoD, CDSE, ODNI)
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

Responsibilities

  • Provide special security support for assistance and/or refinement of the classification management program.
  • Schedule Appointments and/or service walk-in for PIV Activations, Enrollments, Certificate Updates and PIN Resets
  • Print and/or Mail PIV Credentials in accordance with established procedures
  • Process and/or verify access requests for Main Treasury Complex and Treasury-affiliated facilities
  • Perform and/or assist with Lock and Key Issuances
  • Perform after hours security inspections, as needed
  • Conduct Secure space assessment as related to physical security requirements
  • Send Daily Appointment Schedule to Access Control Unit Staff and USSS
  • Primary lead on answering email inquiries for all things related to PIV credentials and access control matters.
  • Send daily appointment reminder to the following day’s appointment list
  • Track accommodation requests for remote personnel with credentialing needs
  • Assist with security investigations to include data spills and other security violations
  • Prepare courier packages for classified material being transported by authorized couriers and maintains logs; coordinate issuance of courier and SCIF access badges as required
  • Participate in investigations of reported security violations and suspected or actual compromises of classified information; conduct interviews; prepare reports and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct periodic security inspections for the duration of the projects to ensure compliance with the CSP, document security violations or deviations from the CSP
  • Ensure that procedures to control site access are implemented
