About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a creative, innovative, results-oriented program manager to lead security and security-systems projects and programs in the data center environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative and productive environment with a strong service-oriented culture among multiple diverse and highly skilled teams of project and program managers. These teams are responsible for the design, installation, and evolution of physical security systems and programs, including intrusion detection, access control/management, CCTV, screening, and emergency response. A successful candidate will manage difficult and interdependent projects with a regional impact, enabling the interpretation of Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards to ensure proper security mitigations are implemented. Collaboration across functions is key to ensuring data centers meet AWS's high physical security standards and that local security teams have the necessary technical knowledge and resources.

Requirements

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in physical security project management.
• 5+ years' experience in Security Operations experience in technology, manufacturing, or similar industries, to include access control systems, CCTV, and defense in depth strategies.

• Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences, or experience in similar environments
• Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
• Experience in the delivery of physical security projects or programs within an enterprise setting.
• Background in any of the following: Physical Security Design, Security Systems Deployment, Physical Security Operations, Security Architecture, Construction Management
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or physical security designs.
• PSP, CPP, PMP Certification; Training in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Certification or experience with Lenel Access Control System.

Responsibilities

• Program Management for physical security systems related to new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
• Review of physical security project lifecycle management including bid packages, specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close-out documentation.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for leadership to make strategic decisions regarding technology and procedure.
• Balance performance metrics such as physical security system installation vendor service delivery performance, actual spend vs. budget variance, cost reduction goal attainment, post installation defect rates, physical security program analysis, etc.
• Manage vendors for the on-boarding, RFQ, bid, contract, QA/QC, and support processes.
• Effectively and accurately manage multi-million dollar budgets for infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate across teams and provide support for global initiatives.
