About The Position

The Periscope Group is seeking licensed physical or occupational therapists to conduct one-time, in-home medical necessity assessments. Consultants assess members’ needs and provide expert recommendations for equipment, services, and care to help them maintain independence. Work includes completing documentation through a secure online portal accessible from a computer, tablet, or smartphone. This is an independent contractor opportunity with self-scheduled work within assessment timeframes. Compensation is $135–$200 per assessment, depending on location and assessment type.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist; PTAs and COTAs are not eligible.
• Malpractice/liability insurance, which may be purchased at the time of job offer.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, navigate stairs and varied home environments, and perform physical assessments as needed.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to and from members’ homes.
• Proficiency with technology, including navigating online portals, uploading documents, and using a computer, tablet, or smartphone for work tasks.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
