Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician (PM&R)
About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) for a Locum Tenens position in Wilmington, NC. This inpatient role involves providing comprehensive rehabilitation care to adult patients with neurologic conditions, including stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI). The physician will manage a robust consultation service, averaging 25-40 patients daily, with 0-1 admissions and 0-1 phone consults. The role includes rounding on assigned patients and leading team conferences as part of an interdisciplinary team. The physician will also supervise 3-4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and is expected to perform medical management. The shift schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a TBD call schedule for 2nd call/backup. The department has 33 beds, utilizes Epic EMR, and the facility is a Level II Trauma Center.
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
- Licensed in North Carolina.
- BLS certification.
- Fellowship training.
