About The Position

The Clark County School District is seeking a Physical Education Teacher for Cortney JHS for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive physical education curriculum that promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle choices among students. The teacher will create a positive and engaging learning environment, assess student progress, and collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development.

Requirements

Valid Nevada Teaching License with an endorsement in Physical Education.
Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies in physical education.
Ability to assess student learning and provide feedback.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Completion of the full seven-year job history, including periods of unemployment, in the 'Experience and Credential' section of the application.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
Experience teaching physical education at the middle school level.
Experience with diverse student populations.
Knowledge of coaching principles and techniques.
