About The Position
The Wellesley College Physical Education department is seeking a dynamic, professional Beginner Level Yoga Instructor for a four course load (2 classes/semester) in the Academic Year 2026-2027. This is an opportunity to work with intellectually curious and physically disciplined undergraduate students in a professional-grade studio environment.
Requirements
- Minimum RYT-200 certification from an accredited yoga school.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- 1–2 years of experience teaching group yoga, with a demonstrated knack for beginner populations.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekly, 60-minute sessions tailored specifically to beginners, focusing on fundamental postures, basic breathing, and prop usage.
- Design slow, progressive flows that build student confidence; use clear, anatomical, and secular language.
- Handle all required course duties, including attendance tracking, responding to emails and grading (Pass/Fail).
