About The Position

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified (.25 FTE) Wellness Teacher commencing at the start of the 2026-2027 school year. Lincoln-Sudbury offers a comprehensive four-year Wellness program, which includes a core curriculum of Intro to Wellness, Foundations of Strength Training, First Aid/CPR, Outdoor Pursuits, Health Issues and Cardiovascular Fitness. In addition to these required courses, the department offers a variety of electives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required
Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Physical Education (5-12) and/or Health Education (9-12) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred
Additional ability to teach health education content
3 + years educational teaching environment preferred
High School teaching experience preferred
Proficiency in Google tools including Classroom, Slides, Sheets and Docs

Responsibilities

Able to teach a variety of Wellness content (physical education and outdoor education).
Additional ability to teach health education content preferred, but not required.
Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community.
Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students.
Creates a class environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior.
Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed.
Communicates with parents to discuss student progress.
Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school.
Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning.
All other duties as assigned.
