About The Position

Got Game Sports, a leading Los Angeles youth sports, physical education, and summer camp provider since 2004, is seeking energetic and passionate individuals to join their team as Physical Education Coaches. The company partners with schools across Los Angeles to inspire children to adopt active, healthy lifestyles through engaging PE classes, after-school programs, camps, and events. The primary goal is to help students build confidence, develop new skills, and foster a lifelong love of movement in a fun and supportive environment. This role involves leading PE classes at elementary schools in the Mid City area, focusing on inspiring children through sports and physical activities.

  • Ability to demonstrate, instruct, and participate in physical activities, including running, jumping, stretching, and lifting.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, and remain active throughout the school day.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds (sports equipment, cones, goals, etc.).
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to project your voice while leading large groups.
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations while ensuring student safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching Physical Education, coaching, recreation, childcare, or youth programs.
  • Bachelor's degree or coursework in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Child Development, Education, Recreation, or a related field.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Reliable transportation to schools throughout the San Fernando Valley.
  • Ability to pass a Live Scan background check.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging Physical Education classes for TK-5th grade students.
  • Teach a variety of sports, fitness activities, cooperative games, and movement-based lessons.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment where every student feels encouraged, challenged, and successful.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and healthy habits.
  • Maintain a fun and structured learning environment.
  • Collaborate with school staff and the Got Game leadership team.
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate games, sports, fitness activities, and skill development lessons.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
  • Supervise students while ensuring safety at all times.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain sports equipment and activity areas.
  • Serve as a positive role model for students through professionalism, enthusiasm, and leadership.
