About The Position

St. Jude Regional Catholic School, a faith-filled Catholic school serving students in PreK–8th grade, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher/History for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will foster a love of physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles, and support the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical development of students within a Catholic educational environment. The candidate will also teach 7th and 8th history.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Maryland teaching certification or obtain one 3-5 years from hiring dates
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

Teach Physical Education classes to students in PreK–8th grade.
Develop and implement engaging lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong healthy habits.
Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Organize and coordinate school-wide fitness activities and special events.
Maintain appropriate student records and communicate regularly with parents.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the mission and goals of the school.
Model Christian values and actively support the Catholic identity of the school.
