Requirements

• Strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills required.
• Accurate typing up to 40 WPM.
• Multitasking and a flexible schedule required.
• Rotating on-call schedule for after-hour injury accidents is required upon completion of a training period.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a Business or related field is preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Property and Casualty investigation and claims handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities involving claims against company for third-party property damage and bodily injury claims.
• Investigates claims to ascertain validity of claims and extent of company liability.
• Reviews accident reports and communicate with affected parties to determine liability.
• Maintains accurate and timely reserves based on the claim.
• Negotiates and processes claims for property damage and/or third party injury claims which Prime is liable and submits claims for payment processing.
• Negotiates settlements to effectuate fair and equitable settlements.
• Coordinates record retention for preservation of pending litigation.
